About Me
I am a graduate of James Madison University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Arts and Design with a Humanitarian Affairs minor. Currently I work with Discovery Communications as a Digital Content Services Technician on the Media Prep team. I specialize in content for our Asian Pacific region, however I work with content for all of our various international regions. I enjoy a fast paced work environment and opportunities for hands-on work. I'm a highly motivated and independent worker and perform best in environments with a clear mission and high expectations. I prioritize finding the most meaningful connections between a project and its intended audience to maximize impact. My passion is finding the best way to tell a story that rings true with both the client and the audience. I am a fast learner and can adapt to almost any environment I am put in. I'm particularly interested in environmental conservation, health and wellness, innovative technology and promoting positive social change. I have demonstrated my leadership abilities in a variety of different situations and work as an effective communicator and teammate. In my free time you can likely find me hiking, biking, kayaking or finding some other way to spend time outdoors. I am also a part time silversmith, creating jewelry in my home studio inspired by my travels and the world around me. For examples of my jewelry, please see my Funk & Folk page or click the link below.
